Dr. Ravi performs breast augmentation under general anesthesia to help ensure optimal comfort. To help reduce risks of bleeding and infection, he performs electrocautery of the blood vessels while making breast pockets. This is a relatively unusual approach because it takes more time. Dr. Ravi, however, believes time is immaterial when patient safety and results are on the line.
In addition to electrocautery, which may help reduce scar size, thickness, and visibility, Dr. Ravi utilizes Exparel®, a local anesthetic that reduces the need for prescription analgesics and helps to speed the healing process. Both of these things can impact the appearance of your final results.
